Immune Boosting Essentials

Zinc

While being sufficient in all vitamins and minerals is essential for optimal health, these three have been proven to be highly beneficial for a strong immune system, and have also been showing some major benefits in helping to fight off and improve recovery with a certain virus thats been going around.


Here’s a few highlights on each:


Vitamin C- A powerful antioxidant, has been shown to decrease the severity of colds and flus & helps to speed up recovery, moderates histamine levels, helps with mineral absorption.


Vitamin D- Research has shown that Vitamin D may help protect against respiratory infections, it increases anti-inflammatory cytokines, and has bactericidal properties.


Zinc- This vital mineral has been shown to inhibit viral replication, boosts the activity of natural killer & T-cells.


As always, checking your nutrient levels, along with supplementing, is best done under the supervision of a physician.
